    This is your chance to own a nice piece of Oregon Sunstone!
    Thank you for viewing this eBay listing.
    Although I know almost nothing about Oregon Sunstone, a miner friend asked me to sell several pieces of rough for him.  The miner said this type of Oregon Sunstone normally sells for about .00 per ct in smaller pieces, about 3 to 5 cts, and can sell for a lot more in larger pieces from about 15 to about 50 cts.  The miner said that many of pieces that I am listing can be made into cabochons or faceted and some have something he called “schiller.”  He said this is something gem cutters want to see in Oregon Sunstone.
    Although I was told this Oregon Sunstone would look much better if I photographed it wet, I photographed it dry to better show its true appearance.
    All of the red Oregon Sunstone I am selling for the miner is over 10 cts and the miner asked me to start the bidding well below his normal wholesale price of rough and, because several of these Oregon Sunstones are partially covered with the lava rock in which they were formed, the miner said there could be some real treasures beneath the lava rock.
    I am not a professional photographer and the photos in this listing have not been altered.  I used natural sunlight for some of the photos and a light box I made out of a cardboard box for some of the others.  I took several magnified photographs of this Oregon Sunstone hoping they will show every possible detail.
    Note: In the event of any typos in this listing, the item in the photos is the one you will receive if you win this auction.  Also, the lava rubs off easily, so the weight may be slightly different when the Oregon Sunstone arrives.
